<p>Welcome to the Andy Hipkiss SPS Marine Reef Aquarium web site, where I detail my Acropora
dominated reef tank and the growth of the various colonies, including the frags.
My tank is lit by 400W MH 10000K bulbs and an Icecap 660 VHO fluorescent ballast.</p>
<p> Filtration is via a deep sand bed (DSB) made up of mainly CaribSea Aragamax
and TMC oolitic sand, together with a Deltec AP600 skimmer. A number of herbivores
are used including Trochus and Astrea snails, a few hermit crabs, sea cucumbers,
emerald crabs and a Sally Lightfoot crab.</p>
Water flow is achieved via 4 Tunze pulsing pumps.
